Membership
Who are SAMLA members? The
South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA) is comprised of scholars,
teachers, and graduate students dedicated to the advancement of literary and
linguistic scholarship and teaching in the modern languages. SAMLA is currently
housed at Georgia State University in the heart of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Its
membership extends throughout the southeastern United States as well as across
the country and around the world.
What are the dates for SAMLA’s membership
year? SAMLA’s
membership year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30 in accordance to
the Association’s Constitution and Bylaws.
What is included in my SAMLA membership? SAMLA
members receive the following items as part of their annual membership:
- Eligibility
for attendance and participation at the annual SAMLA conference
- Subscription
to SAMLA’s official publication, South
Atlantic Review
- Access
to the SAMLA Job Information List
- Digital
copy of SAMLA’s newsletter, SAMLA News
